Dana Nelson and Mary Grace Nelson

Dana Nelson

Dana Nelson moved from Hawaii to the beautiful North Georgia mountains in 1996 with her husband Harry Nelson and their three school aged children. She is now the proud grandmother of six wonderful grandchildren. She is a full-time real estate agent with Coldwell Banker High Country Realty and enjoys helping clients find their perfect home in the mountains.

Dana is also a member of the Blairsville/Union Chamber of Commerce Board and has enjoyed meeting many of the local business leaders through this affiliation. Dana has also enjoyed singing in The House of Prayer choir for over 22 years. She danced a bit as a child, but never dreamed she would get on stage to dance in front of a crowd. She is hopeful that her part in the show will help Enotah CASA meet their mission of providing advocates for abused and neglected children.

Mary Grace Nelson

Mary Grace Nelson is a student at Young Harris College where she is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts.  She began dancing at the age of five in Marietta and furthered her dance education at Clarkesville School of Dance until she graduated high school.  She is currently teaching her second year at North Georgia Dance Arts in Hiawassee.

She taught dance classes in the White County School System for the 21stCentury Program for the past two summers and directed two showcases for the program.  After college, Mary Grace plans to work as a school teacher.

This showcase will be her third time participating in a Dancing with the Stars event.  She previously danced benefitting Circle of Hope in Habersham County.
