Rachel Pruitt and CJ Phillips

Rachel Pruitt is a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County, and her roots run deep. Her family is one of the original founders of a Gold Mine which is still in operation today. She is the Tax Commissioner of Lumpkin County and has served in the office for 28 years. She is married to the Chief Magistrate Judge of Lumpkin County. Together they have five children and are the proud grandparents to nine grandchildren. Rachel is a prior member of the CASA Board and this is her third year participating in Dancing with the North Georgia Stars.



CJ Phillips is in his last year of college at the University of North Georgia and will graduate with a bachelors degree in business. He has directed many plays in the past, been a part of UNG’s musical theater workshop for many semesters, and he is currently performing in the Holly Theater’s production of the Addams Family. In the spring he will be directing a musical for the first time in his career. Dance has recently become prevalent in CJ’s life and he looks forward to the opportunity to dance for such an important cause.
