Heather Ayers and Waylon Jones

Heather C. Ayers is married to Jamey and they have three children, Addey, 9 (will be 10 in Feb.) years old, Carson, 6 years old, and Hayden, who is 4 years old. Together they have a fun and busy life and they enjoy spending their leisure time together exploring the great outdoors surrounding their north Georgia home! Heather has been in the nursing profession for 20 years with the last ten years as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner serving children, adolescents, and their families in northeast Georgia. She holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice, specializing in pediatric primary care and also in behavioral health for children and adolescents. Recently she began teaching at Truett McConnell University, Rielin (Ree-len) & Salmen School of Nursing as an Assistant Professor. She remains current in advanced practice nursing by serving and caring for the children & families at Dahlonega Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine. She is passionate about caring for children and their families and teaching others compassionate care. Heather has served on multiple short-term medical mission trips and is passionate about helping those less fortunate to receive healthcare. She has served in various countries in Europe, including Slovenia, Poland, Russia, and the Czech Republic and more recently has served in Niger, Africa, and Leogane, Haiti.

Waylon Jones began his dance career in Tennessee at the age of 10. He received his training with Children’s Dance Theatre in Springfield before performing with The Nashville Ballet. After high school he received a scholarship to attend North Carolina School of the Arts. Waylon also danced with The Pasadena Ballet and The Joffery Ballet in NYC. After Waylon retired from professional ballet, he started training in Ballroom and Latin dance. He has won several regional competitions in American Rhythm, Ballroom, and Theatre Arts. In the Theatre Arts division is where he placed 4th in the World and was invited twice to represent the USA at the British invitational, Blackpool Dance Festival. He now resides in Dacula, GA with his wife of 13 years, Tara and his two beautiful girls, Skylar and Ariel.
