#4 – Tony Owens & Emily Nester

Tony Owens grew up around the Dahlonega Square in his parent’s business and has a deep love for the area. Tony graduated from North Georgia College and currently owns and operates The Fudge Factory and Corner Kitchen in Dahlonega. He is happily married to his college sweetheart Jamie and has two beautiful
daughters.

 

 

 

Emily Nester has been dancing for 10 years and performing in musical theater productions for the past 5 years. She has a love for performing and is at home on the stage. This past January, Emily performed at the 2017 Junior Theater Festival in the sentimental favorite “Singing in the Rain” tapping her way as Kathy Selden. Emily was an assistant choreographer for this production, which won her troupe the Overall Best in Choreography and Dance Award; as well as the individual honor of Best Student Choreographer. Some of Emily’s recent theater performances include “Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr.”, “Alice in Wonderland Jr.”, and “Bye Bye Birdie”. Emily has also enjoyed performing in this school year& productions of “Pippin” and “Urinetown the Musical” at Forsyth Central High School. In addition, Emily has won several awards while competing at local and national level dance competitions; and was awarded a scholarship in 2015 for the Dance Educators of America summer dance intensive program, where she earned an award for “Top Performer in Musical Theater”. She is excited for this opportunity to help her community through her love of dance!
