Alexis Hanenberg and Ken Akin

Alexis Hanenburg

Alexis Hanenburg is a student at UNG, currently in her junior year, majoring in Elementary Education with a dual degree in Special Education. She juggles a hectic schedule, as she is working part-time, interning part-time, taking five classes, instructing swing dance days a week, finding time for homework and friends, and of course practicing with her wonderful partner Ken at least once a week! She is originally from Canton, GA, where she was homeschooled along with her three siblings. She loves to read, write, listen to music, hang out with friends, and dance. Alexis has been dancing for six years and is well-versed in many styles of dance, including swing, waltz, Cha Cha, Salsa, and both pop and country line dances.
